8 დეკემბერს "სამოქალაქო დარბაზისა" და შაუმიანის სათემო განათლების ცენტრის ორგანიზებით გაიმართა შაუმიანის წინასაახალწლო ფესტივალი. ფესტივალზე წარმოდგენილი იყო ადგილობრივი სოფლის მეურნეობის პროდუქცია, ხელნაკეთი ნივთები, ბავშვებისთვის გასართობი კუთხე და DVV International-სა და "სამოქალაქო დარბაზის" სტენდი. ფესტივალის ფარგლებში მოწვეული იყვნენ მუსიკოსი ბაჩო ჯიქიძე, პოეტი მათე სარალიშვილი, ილუზიონისტი ავთანდილ გოგეშვილი. აგრეთვე, კოდის, ხიხანის, წერაქვისა და შაუმიანის მუსიკალურ-ქორეოგრეფიული ანსამბლები, როლებმაც მაყურებელს წარუგინეს თავიანთი ნომრები. "სამოქალაქო დარბაზის" განცხადებით მსგავსი ღონისძიებები მომავალში სხვა რეგიონებშიც გაიმართება, რომლის მიზანიც ახალგაზრდების ჩართულობის გაზრდა, რეგიონების გააქტიურება და ადგილობრივი სათემო ცენტრების ხელშეწყობა იქნება.. ფესტივალის პარტნიორები არიან Dvv International, GIZ, Georgian Bus და Geovoice. პროექტი თანადაფინანსებულია "კავკასიური სახლისა" და ევროპული ფონდი "ჰორიზონტის" მიერ.

Civic Hall and Shaumiani Community Education Center organised a Pre-New Year festival on 8th of December in the southern Georgian town of Shaumiani.

Shaumiani festival hosted the stands for the children's entertainment, local agricultural produce and handmade crafts. In addition, the information stands of Civic Hall and Dvv International provided information about their organisations for the interested public. Shaumiani festival hosted singer-songwriter Bacho Jickidze, poet Mate Saralishvili, illusionist Avtandil Gogeshvili. Also, the folklore groups from Koda, Khikhani and Shaumiani.

Similar events will be also be held in other regions of the country promoting active participation of the local youngsters in the life of their municipalities, benefiting the regions and the local cultural-educational centres.
